Kensington scorches Three Oaks in provincial high school championship game

The Kensington Torchmen defeated Three Oaks High School 91-61 on Feb. 28 at the basketball provincials held at Holland College.
It was a fast pace game and the Torchmen really heated up after the first half, which ended 43-31.
The Torchmen began to find holes in the defence and use that as a path to the basket. The game began to turn when Kensington started to shoot.
Three Oaks coach Les Smith said he was facing a bigger team. His boys were having trouble breaking Kensington’s screens.
“We got a lot of guys returning, we’ll be there again.”
Basketball fan Priyanka Patel thought it was a very exciting game.
“These boys played hard today. I can’t believe the skill displayed at this level of basketball,” she said. “It was a great game to watch.”
The player of the game was Aidan Harrington from the Torchmen with 32 points.
Top scorers from Three Oaks wereMitchell Henderson and Zach Mallett with 15 points each.
