One after another, the names were announced – Paper Lions, Black Moor and Death Valley Driver among them. Each was nominated for an award and will perform across P.E.I. during the East Coast Music Awards week April 2-6.
Performances by Kayo and Meaghan Blanchard highlighted the ECMA news conference on Jan. 14 in Charlottetown.
Mayor Clifford Lee said Charlottetown is excited to host the East Coast Music Week.
“Music and culture play an important role within our community and the city will come alive with all of the featured venues and events.”
East Coast Music Week has a huge impact and leaves a significant imprint, and she’s excited to work with ECMA and the music and corporate communities in Charlottetown, said Jennifer Evans, manager of Ocean 100.3 and Hot 105.5 radio stations.
“Celebrating ECMW on P.E.I. in 2014 is thrilling as the province pays tribute to 150 years of the Charlottetown Conference (The conference was the birth of confederation in Canada).”
